Introduction

DoinGud is going to be a multi-chain and multi-currency NFT ecosystem, and to start we are using Polygon Network (Previously Matic) as our Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain of choice. If it's your first time using Polygon, don't worry! The below guides make it super clear and easy to get started so you can start saving on gas fees, have faster transaction speeds, etc.

Currencies

*Additional currency support to be added in the near future

To transact on DoinGud, you'll need 2 different currencies:

1. USD Coin ($USDC)

Contract Address: 0x2791bca1f2de4661ed88a30c99a7a9449aa84174

USDC is a cryptocurrency pegged to the US Dollar and backed by real dollars at a 1:1 ratio. This means that 1 USDC is basically the same as $1 USD with almost no variation in price. This makes it ideal to transact with as users don't have to worry about fluctuations in price and the price of NFTs in our ecosystem are closely correlated to US Dollar value.

All creations on the platform are priced and paid for in USDC. In the future we will allow users to sell their creations for a variety of currencies.

2. Polygon ($MATIC)

Contract Address: 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000001010

MATIC is the native token of the Polygon network and is used to pay network and gas fees. You will need MATIC on DoinGud in order to cover network fees for transacting on the Polygon network, similar to ETH gas fees if you're transacting on the Ethereum network (or other blockchain networks). Don't worry though! Transacting on Polygon with MATIC is inexpensive and often costs less than $0.01 per transaction, and even just 1 $MATIC can cover over 100+ transactions.

Notice: By getting some USDC on your wallet first, you can easily receive some MATIC as well.

*Important: You don't need to transfer both USDC & MATIC to your Polygon wallet from Ethereum Mainnet. You may just transfer USDC and swap some for MATIC using Polygon's Swap Tool . Make sure you're on the MATIC Network, use this guide to learn how.

Recommended Steps to Add Funds to your DoinGud wallet

Our step-by-step and recommended options for getting started with funds on our ecosystem

-

Step 1: Get some USDC

Option 1 (Easy): Add funds already on the Polygon Network from another wallet

Option 2 (Beginner): Purchase USDC via Credit or Debit Card directly to your DoinGud Polygon wallet

($500/week with basic KYC or $7500/month with advanced KYC)

Option 3 (Intermediate): Bridge funds from Ethereum Mainnet to Polygon Network

You may purchase or acquire USDC from an Ethereum Mainnet exchange or service, and then bridge your USDC to Polygon using one of the following solutions. We've provided a few options which can vary in fees for you to choose from.

Option 4 (Advanced): Purchase or Transfer USDC via an Exchange and withdraw directly to your DoinGud Polygon wallet.

This option can save users money if gas fees for bridging are high.

-

Step 2: Get some MATIC

Once you've successfully received your USDC tokens on your DoinGud or Polygon wallet, it's time to get some MATIC tokens! Luckily you can do this super easily without paying any gas fees and swapping directly from a variety of cryptocurrencies.

Convert USDC to MATIC using Gas-free Polygon Swap.

Alternatively, you can check out our guides for other ways to Get MATIC.
